ABOUT US

The Colpins, are a Scottish band, who originally started playing in the pubs and clubs almost 20 years ago. About 5 years ago singer/songwriter Allan Paul Rodger, took time out to complete this album which contains songs from throughout his career. All the songs chosen for this album were for their lyrical content and musical style. The intention is for the listener to enjoy the music and lyrics and hopefully they will be able to relate to some of the experiences that the writer has included in the make up of this album.

The lyrics and music of this album have been greatly influenced by many different bands and artists, and I'm sure that the listener will be able to pick up on some of them. As they hopefully enjoy the range of songs from Rock and Country to the softer tones of love songs.

Allan, is involved in many different aspects of writing including script comedy, he is one of the writers for the new television sketch show called (what's it all about) due out in spring 2010. Also as the author of "The Skittol Family" in partnership with Ceri Shennon, who is the illustrator which is to be published in Decmber 2009. Although continuing to be involved in songwriting, production and photographic art.

Each track has been carefully chosen for its simple message contained within the lyrics, the music which the listener can enjoy and within a short period of time can sing along to and share in the energy of the music.

Allan, would also like to thank everyone who has supported him including the many artists, who have helped with the development of this album. And hope that the hard work that everyone has put in can at last be appreciated by the people who this album was made for. EVERYONE!!
